LUDHIANA: Deputy Commissioner (DC)
Pradeep Kumar Agrawal on Friday flagged off the last run of the recruitment rally of
Indian Army held at
Dholewal Military Complex.
2,237 candidates participated in the 1.6 km-long run, which was to be completed in the prescribed time frame, and Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Test.
A spokesperson said, "now 1500 candidates are expected to attend a Common Entrance Examination which would be held on May 27, 2018. During the recruitment rally, 15,134 candidates got registered themselves for the rally out of which 11,834 appeared."
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner assured the Director (Recruiting) Colonel Vishal Dubey for fulsome assistance in the conduct of the tutorial classes for a period of a month in Ludhiana.
The rally was conducted by
Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Ludhiana at Dholewal Military Station under the aegis of Headquarters, Recruiting Zone (Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir) that started on April 4 and will continue till April 8.
Candidates from the districts of Ludhiana, Roopnagar and SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Moga participated in the rally. The recruitment is being done for the posts including Soldier (General Duty), Soldier (Clerk/Storekeeper Technical), Soldier (Nursing Clerk and Army Technical Posts).
The candidates were screened for their physical fitness and measurements, medical examination and documentation.
The candidates were also screened for Drug intake by the medical officers, using their professional expertise and Drug Screening Kits.
