VARANASI: A teenage boy was found dead with slit throat in Mau district on Thursday. The identity of the
slain boy was ascertained through social media. The police arrested two accused,Ratan Kumar Sonkar and
Shiv Kumar Sahni, and booked them under IPC Sections 302 and 201, and also under Arms Act.
Sonkar disclosed that he had homosexual relationship with the slain boy, who later
demanded money from him. This had led to bitterness in their relationship.
Sonkar said he called the boy on April 4 and offered liquor to him. Once he was drunk, Sonkar along with his friend Sahni slit the boy’s throat and dumped his body on the roadside.
