Minister Vinay’s dairy checked

After a late night search at Vinay Dairy, owned by Minister for Mines and Geology Vinay Kulkarni, an official of the model code of conduct (MCC) implementation has filed a complaint against a worker for obstruction of official duty.

Following a tip-off about an unauthorised assembly at Vinay Dairy on Friday night, the officials of MCC implementation led by S.G. Yoganand visited the dairy and conducted searches that went on for close to an hour.

However a worker by name Ashok Chikkanayakanahalli reportedly prevented the officials from carrying out the searches. He reportedly waylaid the officials and entered into an argument with them. Following the incident, Mr. Yoganand filed a complaint with the Vidyagiri Police here. The police have registered a case and investigation is on.
