A plane with 345 people on board from Vietnam made an emergency landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday after the pilot reported a technical glitch.

An airport official familiar with the development said that a non-scheduled flight RL8772 from Phu Quoc (Vietnam) to Yekaterinburg (Russia) landed safely at runway number 11 of Terminal 3 around 6 pm.

All standard operating procedures were put into action during the emergency landing.

“Six fire tenders rushed to the runway immediately. This, however, is a routine procedure for any emergency landing. No smoke was detected from the flight and everyone is safe,” the official said.
