Maharashtrian pilgrim dies on way to Vaishno Devi

JAMMU: A 60-year-old man on his way to the cave shrine Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in Trikuta Hills of Reasi district died on Friday late evening. He was a resident of Nallasopara in Thane, Maharashtra.

Cops said the pilgrim, identified as Gurunath Digambar Molndhkar, was heading to the shrine when he fell unconscious near an eatery. He was rushed to a health centre (dispensary) in Adhkwari where doctors declared him brought dead.


Doctors believe Molndhkar had suffered a cardiac arrest, which led to his death.
