Gangster found dead in Kadapa Central Jail of Andhra Pradesh

KADAPA: Notorious gangster M Sunil Kumar was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Kadapa Central Jail on Friday night. According to Central Jail superintendent B Lakshmi Narasaiah, Sunil was found hanging in the bathroom of his high-security cell at around 8 pm. He hanged himself from a fan holder on the ceiling of the bathroom using a bed sheet.

He was found by sentry, who alerted the higher officials. He was immediately shifted to RIMS Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.Kadapa DSP Sk Masum Basha said after receiving information about the incident, they rushed to RIMS Hospital, where the doctors said he was brought dead. The police officer suspects that Sunil might have resorted to extreme step depressed over his situation.

Sunil Kumar was an accused in 19 criminal cases related to murder, kidnap, extortion and burglaries in Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts.The gangster, who escaped from police while being brought to Kadapa Central Jail from Kurnool after a court hearing on March 27,  was caught in Bengaluru on April 4th night and brought to Kadapa on April 5.
