In Madhya Pradesh, ten persons were killed and five others injured when a speeding truck hit two auto-rickshaws near Majhgvan in Katni district today.

Katni District Collector KVS Choudhry and Superintendent of Police Atul Singh have reached the spot, and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

Police said, the auto-rickshaws were heading to Katni from Majhgavan when they were hit by the truck coming from the opposite direction.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced a compensation of 1 lakh rupees to the family of deceased and 50,000 rupees each to the injured.
