Mission Inn Resort & Club Offers Skill-Special Summer Camps

Calling all young golfers, tennis players, and their families to Mission Inn Resort & Club for a slate of specialized summer learning experiences. These summer “camps” will all be held at the resort, which is only 35 minutes from Orlando.

For junior golfers, Mission Inn Resort hosts two different camps with regular sessions:

• June 3-Aug. 5 – The Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy teaches young golfers how to “Train Like A Champion.” The Academy is already the training home for three of the LPGA Tour’s top six players – Lydia Ko, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Shanshan Feng— plus the PGA Tour’s Morgan Hoffmann. The Academy offers single-week camps, multiple-week packages, and a two-week camp that includes competitive play. Boarding and non-boarding options are available.

• June 10-Aug 12 – The Bishops Gate Golf Academy builds unique programs for individuals based on their goals, aspirations, strengths, tournament schedule, and areas of improvement. Bishops utilizes its own coaching model, which consists of a highly experienced senior coach overseeing a group of coaches and students. The program includes all aspects of student development assessing needs to monitoring progress throughout the year.

For tennis players, Mission Inn Resort offers a junior camp from June 20 to Aug. 5, plus adult lessons throughout the summer:

• Cesar Villarroel Tennis Academy, listed among the “Top 25 resorts and tennis programs in the country” by World Tennis magazine, is designed for players of all levels and skill, from beginners to elite players, with both training and fitness programs. Boarding and non-boarding options are available. The Villarroel Academy also features summer lessons for adults, with morning lessons for ladies and mixed doubles groups. An evening men’s clinic also is offered.

Mission Inn Resort & Club sits among the rolling hills and fresh-water lakes of Lake County in the town of Howey-in-the-Hills, just a 35-minute drive northwest of Orlando. The Spanish colonial style resort offers two championship golf courses – El Campeón Course and Las Colinas Course – and award-winning tennis facilities with both clay and all-weather courts.
