Bahrain - After the season opener at Melbourne's Albert Park, Bahrain and Shanghai mark the first 'back-to-back' races on the 2018 F1 calendar.

In a preview for Mobil 1 The Grid, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo highlights the challenges of contesting two races in a fortnight, and talks about the unique features of both the Sakhir and Shanghai circuits.

Ricciardo has also given Red Bull a boost by posting the fastest time in the first practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix on Friday (Apr 6).

The Australian clocked 1min31.06 seconds on the 5.4km  desert circuit. He was 0.3 seconds quicker than Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas and 0.4 ahead of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, whose teammate Sebastian Vettel placed fourth.
