An investigation is underway after a man died at a detox unit.
Police and paramedics were called to Hafan Wen at Wrexham Maelor Hospital on Easter Sunday, which is run by the charity CAIS.
Patients were ushered into the lounge after the discovery was made.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman for CAIS said: “We can confirm that one of the patients at our Hafan Wen detoxification unit sadly died on Easter Sunday.
“The unit was fully staffed by a staff nurse and healthcare support workers, in accordance with HIW (Health Inspectorate Wales) guidelines.

“Everyone at Hafan Wen would like to extend their sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, to whom we continue to offer support at this difficult time.
“This incident was handled in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and, as is normal in these circumstances, an internal review has begun.
“Initial notification has been sent to the HIW as required under the Independent Health Care (Wales) Regulations 2011.”
He added: “Patients often enter medical detoxification with complex associated health needs.
“As is normal in these circumstances, the case has been reported to the coroner’s office.
“We would like to thank our staff, paramedics and emergency responders for their rapid response and professionalism throughout.”
CAIS is a registered charity with more than 40 years’ experience of supporting people with alcohol and drugs misuse issues, and has operated the purpose-built Hafan Wen detoxification unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital for more than 20 years.
Paramedics arrived on the scene within four minutes of the alarm being raised.
CAIS said in line with their procedures, senior management staff also attended the unit within 10 minutes and stressed they conduct full internal reviews of incidents of such nature.
