Shares of Chinese tech stocks are trading lower ahead of the market open, following President Donald Trump's comments late Thursday in which he said he would consider imposing tariffs on an additional $100 billion in Chinese goods. Shares of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. BABA, +0.29% and JD.com Inc. JD, +1.90% are both down 1.7% in premarket trading. Internet names Weibo Corp. WB, -0.34% and Bidu Inc. BIDU, +0.57% have seen their stocks fall 2.3% and 2.2%, respectively. Trump previously announced tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese goods, which prompted China to reply with a list of $50 billion in U.S. products that it could put tariffs on. S&P 500 futures ESM8, -0.59% have dropped 0.8% while Nasdaq 100 futures NQM8, -0.65% are down 0.9%.
