FALL RIVER - At United Methodist Church, 600 Highland Ave., the Rev. Parent's sermon on Sunday, April 8, will focus on the scripture 1John 1:1-2:2,; after the resurrection. Sunday will be the first Sunday after Easter. The following scriptures will be read by the Liturgist; Acts 4: 32-35, Psalm 133, and John 20:19-31. Worship is followed by light refreshments, free to all, in the social hall.

On Monday evenings at 6:30 the prayer group “Sweet Hour of Prayer” meets and all are welcome.

Choir practice, which is led by Deb Carvalho, will practice on Sunday morning at 9 a.m., and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.   

The church continues its support of the Fall River Food Pantry to help the less fortunate. Food donation items for the month of April will peanut butter and jelly. As well as canned goods, for our Veterans. To help, call the church at 508-676-0571 and leave a message and you will be directed when to drop off food items and/or items to be distributed to the Veterans in the area.
