CWG 2018: India women’s team highlighted on Friday that their defeat to Wales on Thursday was probably a case of a bad day in the office. From the shocking 2-3 defeat to the Europeans, India came back to beat fellow Asia side Malaysia 4-1 with sheer ease. Twin strikes from Gurjit Kaur, from the penalty corner, and field goals from Rani and Lalremsiami gave India the win. The two field goals arrived late in the game when Malaysia looked all but out of the contest. Didn’t help that Malaysia were depleted by injuries. Next for India in Pool A is England on April 8 and South Africa on April 10.
