Asked at a press conference, in Anand Sharma said: "We never said that the chapter has either opened or closed. This is a matter of discussion among political parties. This thing can't be discussed in press conferences. When any such decision is taken, we will let you know.

"If there is no decision yet, and it has not been announced to you, then discussion on it is futile," he added.

The has already collected more than 50 signatures of members but is said to be keen on getting endorsement from parties like to broad-base the move.

A party said the motion may be brought in the monsoon session of parliament.

Party sources said even otherwise the "required message" has been sent to the judiciary.
