Industrials pace sector losers, as all components of SPDR's industrial ETF trade lower

The industrial sector was the weakest of the 11 S&P 500 SPX, -2.19% sectors, which were also showing weakness in Friday's broad market selloff. And the sector's weakness was unanimous, as the SPDR Industrial Select Sector ETF XLI, -2.77% tumbled 3.2%, on track for the lowest close since Nov. 27, 2017, as all 67 equity components traded lower. Among the most heavily weighted components, shares of General Electric Co. GE, -2.76% gave up 3.3%, 3M Co. MMM, -2.94% shed 3.4% and Boeing Co. BA, -3.06% dropped 3.6%. The biggest decliner was Dover Corp.'s stock DOV, -4.61% which fell 5.1%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index shed 2.6% with just eight components gaining ground, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -2.34% dropped 677 points with all 30 components declining.
