Woman blackmailed with morphed nude photos

JAIPUR: A woman on Wednesday evening accused a youth of blackmailing by uploading her morphed nude photos on social networking sites. The accused was identified Pradeep Kumar Biswal of Kahneipur in Vyas Nagar town. In her police complaint, the victim, who works in Women and Child Development department in Korei block, stated that the accused wanted to keep sexual relation with her by threatening to make her fake nude photos viral on social media. The nude pictures are doing rounds on social media sites of Facebook and WhatsApp, she said.

The matter came to her notice after she received the obscene pictures on her WhatsApp from Biswal. Later, the accused called her over phone and tried to blackmail her for sexual favours, the woman alleged.
“Biswal took the photos from my Facebook account. He morphed my face on naked pictures and later uploaded the same on social media,” she said. The woman also claimed that after the pictures went viral, she has been confined to her house in fear of shame and stigma.

“We received the complaint from the victim on Wednesday evening on the basis of which a case has been registered under various Sections of the Information Technology Act against the accused,” said a police official.Possible hideouts of Biswal, who is on the run, were raided on Wednesday night but in vain. Further investigation is on and the accused will be nabbed soon, the official said.
