Chain snatcher held in Diwalipura

Vadodara: The prevention of crime branch (PCB) on Friday arrested a chain snatcher who was wanted in three cases. The cops had received information that Ajay Vasava was passing from Diwalipura area following which they kept a watch in the area and nabbed him.

The cops didn’t find anything suspicious from him but when questioned, he admitted to have committed chain snatchings in the city. Vasava told the police that he and his accomplice Akash Vasava had attempted to chain snatchings nearly 50 times in different areas of the city about five months ago. They had succeeded in snatching five gold chains. Ajay told the police that Akash was already arrested in those cases. The PCB handed over Ajay to the Gotri police for further investigations.
