LUCKNOW:  A BJP tribal MP has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about alleged shabby treatment he received at the office of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Chhote Lal Kharwar has also accused the local administration officials of discrimination.“I met the CM twice with my problems but failed to get any relief. Rather I was scolded and thrown out,” the Robertsganj MP wrote in his letter, seeking Modi’s intervention.

The BJP MP has also mentioned the names of BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey whom he claims to have met thrice, and organisational secretary Sunil Bansal twice, but both allegedly did not pay heed to his grievances and sided with rivals.

Reacting to the letter, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya attributed it to some miscommunication. “We will look into all the issues and redress all his grievances,” he said, adding that such misunderstandings often take place owing to official apathy at district level but the government would look into the matter with sincerity.Chhote Lal charged the administration of his constituency with discrimination, and added his complaints were not being heard by his own party. He has also petitioned the National Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes over the issue.Accusing the local BJP leaders of working against him, the MP alleged that they colluded with rivals, especially the BSP, in getting his brother removed as block chief recently.

‘Dalit Mitra’ on hold
A day after Ambedkar Mahasabha president Lalji Prasad Nirmal announced to confer the title of ‘Dalit Mitra’ on UP chief minister Adityanath Yogi, a revolt like situation cropped up in the Dalit organisation with two senior founding members  Harish Chandra and SR Darapuri  seeking an annual general meeting to initiate disciplinary action against Nirmal accusing him of going beyond his authority.
