Headless body of Kashmiri youth found near home days after he was abducted by militants

Mansoor Ahmad Bhat was abducted from his residence in Kashmir by some militants on Wednesday.

Two days after a Kashmiri youth was abducted by militants from his house in Bonkhan Mohalla of Hajin area in north Kashmir, his headless body was found today near his place of residence.

According to the police, militants barged into one Abdul Gaffar Bhat's house on Wednesday and after beating him and his son Manzoor Ahmad Bhat- abducted them both.

However, an injured Gaffar Bhat managed to escape from their captivity but his son could not.

"The body has been found in the area. We have been looking for him since his abduction on Wednesday", said a police officer from the district.

Mansoor Ahmad Bhat's headless body was found today near his home in north Kashmir.

This is the second such incident in a week where the militants abducted people from their houses. Last week, 32-year-old Naseer Ahmad Sheikh was kidnapped from his house and his dead body was later found on the outskirts of Hajin in the Bandipora district.
