Data shows that cost of running Parliament per minute is 2.5 lakh rupees. Lack of productivity in the current session is said to have cost the exchequer 190 crore rupees. The second part of the budget session began on 4th of last month after nearly a month-long recess.
The first part of the session took place from 29th of January to 9th of February after the presentation of Union Budget and adoption of the motion of thanks to President's address.
