CS holds meeting to review Transfer Act implementation

The Chief Secretary (CS) of Uttarakhand Utpal Kumar Singh has said that all departments should compulsorily upload the information about categorisation of work places based on accessible and hard to access areas on departmental websites before April 15.

He gave these orders while undertaking a review meeting for effective implementation of ‘Transfer Act-2017’ State secretariat with senior officers of different departments on Thursday.

In the meeting the CS directed secretaries, to mandatorily ensure uploading of lists on the websites of their department about available vacancies, eligible personnel for transfer and categorisations of work places based on the accessible and hard to access areas.

The CS was informed in the meeting that all the departmental heads have completed the process of categorisation of workplaces by March 31.

He was also told that transfer committees have been formed at different levels in the departments.

It is worth mentioning here that as per Transfer Act-2017, for employees posting the process of categorisation of workplaces had to be completed by March 31 whereas the process of formation of transfer committees had to be completed by 1 April.

As per the Act, identification of employees for compulsory transfer from easy to access to hard to access areas and vice versa had to be prepared by April 15.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Ranveer Singh, Principal Secretary (PS) Radha Raturi, PS Anand Bardhan, Secretaries Amit Negi, Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, Nitesh Jha, Radhika Jha, R Meenakshi Sundaram, Harbans Singh Chug, Arvind Hyanki and Pankaj Kumar Pandey.
