Police apprehend burglars, recover valuables worth lakhs

Piplani police have nabbed one miscreant and recovered Rs 7 lakh valuables from their possession. The miscreant was  nabbed while trying to sell stolen goods at Aishbagh on Wednesday.

SP South Rahul Kumar Lodha while speaking with the media persons on Thursday, said that the two accused has confessed to six burglaries and they recovered three cars and two motorbikes and stolen goods of Haldiram company from a store.

The total valuables recovered were around Rs 6.7 lakh.

The accused was nabbed after receiving a tip off regarding selling of goods of Haldiram Company in a Maruti 800 car and when he was questioned he failed to provide and confessed crime.

The nabbed miscreant was identified as Shoaib Khan (24) of Aishbagh  and told the police that burglary in Piplani area and Gulmohar was committed along with his accomplice Akram Khan (24) of Kotra Sultanabad.

Providing modus operandi accused told the police that they would do recce in the day and later they would commit burglary.

Search for the absconding accused has been intensified.

The accused have committed three burglaries each in Piplani and Shahpura police station areas and one theft in Baghsewania police station area.

The two are actively involved in crimes across the city from the year 2016 and have targeted several areas of the city during the period.

The stolen cars were used to carry burgled and stolen goods for disposing. More burglaries and thefts would be confessed by the accused and more recoveries would be made in the further investigation.
