McGregor allegedly picked up objects including a metal guardrail and threw them at the bus which shattered the glass and gave Lightweight Michael Chiesa cuts to his head - he was taken to hospital for his injuries.
Another object was also reportedly thrown at the vehicle, but the identity of the thrower remains unclear.
New York police and UFC president Dana White were called to the scene following the event.
White commented on McGregor’s actions prior to his arrest, saying: "They (the police) are looking for him. His plane cannot take off, he cannot leave the state of New York. This is criminal, disgusting, disposable, makes me sick and we as an organisation need to make sure this never happens again
White claimed to MMA Junkie that McGregor and a group of around 20 men “stormed” the building and reached the loading dock after gaining access from media-credentialed individuals.
Michael Chiesa’s coach commented on the event to MMA Junkie, saying: "Everything happened so fast, it was just like we were jumped."
A film clip of the alleged scene shows the MMA fighter picking up a guardrail before throwing it at a bus, according to News 4.
The bus was attempting to take the fighters back to their hotel following a day of media at the Barclays Centre before the event on Saturday.
The 29-year-old boxer is believed to have fled the scene following the event before being arrested.

The boxer is not taking part in the event himself, but is in the US to support his teammate Artem Lobov as he takes on Alex Caceres.
