The Lok Sabha functioned only four percent while the Rajya Sabha eight percent in the second part of the Budget Session due to frequent disruptions. Briefing reporters, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar expressed concern over low productivity in both Houses of Parliament and blamed the main opposition Congress for this.
He said the government was ready to discuss all the issues including banking fraud, Cauvery Water Management Board and Andhra Pradesh Special status issue but due to opposition ruckus, the Parliament could not take up them. He accused the Congress of not being serious on the No-Confidence Motion even though the ruling bench was willing to discuss it.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel said there were several important Bills including Prevention of Corruption Amendment which was stalled due to pandemonium.
