DTPC offers 14 summer tours

The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has come up with attractive travel packages for summer holidays.

The DTPC is offering 14 packages to panoramic places, and the Masinagudi-Ooty package has been introduced this season.

The main packages include Parambikkulam wildlife safari, Munnar hill safari, backwater safari, Thenmala eco safari, Wayanad safari, Dhyanalinga, Ramesawaram-Dhanushkodi- Madurai, Pazhani, and Mookambika-Murudeshwar-Udupi trip.

The two-day Mookambika-Murudeshwar-Uduppi trip covers the three main temples in Karnataka.

The packaged trip, in an air-condition vehicle with a special guide on board, will be charged at ₹4,000 per head.

The backwater safari offers a travel through the picturesque lakes of Alappuzha by a housing boat.

The trip will cost ₹2,500, including food.

Dhyanalinga package is a one-day spiritual trip to the famous Linga Bhairavi centre and the Dhyanalinga meditation centre at Vellingiri, near Coimbatore. The package costs ₹1,800 per head.

The two-day Masinagudi-Ooty package is another interesting forest trip through Nadukani. Stay has been arranged at cottages.

The sites to be covered include the Nilambur teak museum, Muthumala Tiger Reserve, Needle rock, botanical garden, and shooting point. The package costs ₹4,335.

Two-day trips

The Ramaeswaram-Dhanushkodi-Madurai package is another two-day trip that costs ₹3,805 per head.

The Wayand safari (₹3,250) Munnar hill safari (₹2,800) and Thenmala eco safari (₹4,225) are the other two-day packages.

Major single-day packages are the Pazhani trip (₹1,000), Eco trip (₹600), Parambikulam wildlife safari (₹2,210), Muziris heritage tour (₹950); and the backwater safari (950).
