Kochi metro waives parking fee

Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) will waive parking fee for metro passengers at all stations, except Aluva and Edappally, for two months considering the heavy traffic anticipated during the festival season and passenger movement expected during vacation time.

The offer will be valid only for metro customers, said an official release. It added that others could use the parking spaces by paying ₹20 per hour for cars and ₹10 per hour for bikes. The offer will be effective from tomorrow.

“We hope that the waiver of parking fee will attract more passengers during this holiday season and will also help in controlling unruly parking along the [Metro] corridor,” said KMRL managing director A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish.
