Beverly Ann Newberry, 82, joined our Lord on April 4, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is caring for Beverly's services and her family.
Beverly was born April 29, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the only child of Alice C. and Ingle K. Davis. She graduated from Marion High School in 1952. Beverly Davis and Wendell Newberry were united in marriage Feb. 3, 1954, in Houston, Texas, and from this union had two children: Deborah and Samuel.
Beverly worked many different office-type positions periodically in her lifetime and in later years worked at Rockwell Collins. She graduated from Kirkwood College with an A.S. degree in applied science. She was a very spiritual person and liked her biblical readings and watching Dr. Charles Stanley every Sunday with Wendell. Her greatest challenge she overcame in her life was losing over 100 pounds. She loved her family, enjoyed animals and her pets, reading, crocheting, crafting, and using her computer.
She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel; and her mother and father.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Wendell, of 64 years and her daughter, Deborah.
Memorials can be directed to the American Heart Association or the Cancer Society in Beverly's name.
