BENGALURU: Banaswadi police have arrested a history-sheeter who allegedly misbehaved with his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend and stabbed her and her mother. The accused has been identified as John, a resident of Indira Street at Subbaiahanapalya in Papanna Layout. He has been booked for attempt to murder and outraging the modesty of women.

John

According to police, the girl was in love with John for the last seven years and there was misunderstanding between them for the last few months. Around 9.30 am on Saturday, John came to her house and picked a fight with her saying that she should go with him immediately. When she refused, her mother intervened and told John to leave as she was not interested in him.

“John allegedly opened his pant zipper and misbehaved in front of the mother-daughter duo, hurling filthy abuses at them. Later, he pulled out a knife and attacked the girl’s mother, who sustained injuries in her hand. He shouted at the girl threatening that he will kill her and even tried to stab her. She sustained injuries on her head. After he left, the girl filed a complaint with us stating that John had attacked her as she was distancing herself from him after he started questioning her each and every time she went out with her friends. Based on her complaint, the accused has been arrested,” the police added.
