A 36-year-old man from Birkirkara was arrested by the police on Wednesday night after he was found in possession of a pouch containing more than 50 sachets of white powder, believed to be cocaine.
He was arrested in Paceville and may be charged on Friday.
The police said on Thursday that following searches at his home in Birkirkara, they also found other sachets containing the same substance, around 300 grams of cannabis grass and more than €30,000 in cash.
An inquiry is being held.
