Blackbuck Poaching Case: Salman Khan Convicted For 5 Years Jail While Others Let Off!
The case of hunting Blackbuck which is running from the last 20 years has came to en end as the Jodhpur session court has given its verdict today on the Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan and others.

Salman Khan has been sentenced to 5- year jail term and fine of Rs 10,000 in the Blackbucks poaching case. Salman will be directly headed to the Central Jail from the court premises.
Jodhpur court has convicted Salman Khan in this case and has let off Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and others!
The court proceedings resumed after lunch break and Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri pronounced the quantum shortly.
History:  this all happened long back in year 1988 when the entire cast; Salman Khan in this case and has let off Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and others were filming for ‘Hum Sath Sath Hain’ in a remote village of Jodhpur. In this case, under Section 51 of Wildlife Protection Act and Section 51 of the Other Wildlife Conservation Act and Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code (illegal encroachment) Salman Khan is facing the allegations of killing Two Balckbuck.Â

This Could Be The Punishment:Â Â Under Section 149 of the Wild Life Act, Salman Khan can be punished for maximum 6 years jail for hunting black deer. If Salman is sentenced more than three years jail, then he will have to go to jail in any given situation. If he is convicted for 3 years or less, then he will get bail immediately from the sessions court.
Salman Khan can appeal against this judgement in the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur.

World champion weightlifter Mirabai Chanu (48kg) made three records, giving India the first gold medal in 21st Commonwealth Games with her fantastic performance. Chanu broke the record in snatch with her memorable performance in the Commonwealth Games. She raised 80 kg, 84 kg and 86 kg weight in all three attempts.

Chanu won the silver medal in the last Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She weighed a total of 196 kg (86 and 110 kg). Earlier, her best performance was 194 kg (Snatch 85 and Clean and Jurk 109).

Amanda Brodok, who was considered Chanu’s closest competitor, was not successful in a single attempt at Brad Klein and Jurk. Prior to this, P Gururaja gave the silver medal to India in 56 kg category of men.

Weightlifter P Gururaja clinched India’s first medal on Thursday in men’s 56kg category in the 21st Commonwealth Games. On the other hand, India defeated Sri Lanka by 3-0 in the women’s table tennis match. In the opening match, Indian women’s hockey team lost the game against Wales by 2-3 score.

In 138kg category, Gururaja put their great efforts to finish with a total lift of 249kg. The weightlifter failed in his first two attempts ahead of managing a good lift off his last opportunity to reach to the top half of the table.
In 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, Ahmed surpassed his opponent Hamizan Amirul Ibrahim’s record of 116kg. The third place was grabbed by Sri Lanka’s Lakmal Chaturanga (114+134).
“I am very happy to have opened India’s medal account in the Games. It was nowhere close to being my best performance but I am glad that it was enough to get me a silver medal,†Gururaja affirmed.

On 5th April, Jodhpur court will announce verdict in the 1998 black buck poaching case against Salman who was found accused of killing two black bucks on October 2, 1998. During the shooting of the film ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ in Kankani village in Jodhpur the actor killed two black bucks. Along with Salman Khan, co-actors Saif, Sonali, and Tabu, are also the co-accused in the case.
