Vehicles damaged in multiple collision

Five vehicles, including a large carrier van, were damaged in a multiple collision on the railway overbridge at Vyttila on Wednesday evening.

An elderly lady, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, reportedly developed palpitations after the incident. She was later taken to a nearby hospital.

The accident, which happened during the peak hours, almost threatened to create further traffic congestion at Vyttila. According to the police, it was unclear how the accident happened as the traffic on the bridge is generally slow because of the flyover work at Vyttila.
