OP Singh assures UP Police Pensioners Welfare Association to take up their issues with the government

Director general of police, OP Singh, on Wednesday assured the members of UP Police Pensioners Welfare Association, that he will take up their issues with the government and would try that all the grievances be solved at earliest. 

Speaking at the annual meeting of the Pensioners Association here at Police Radio Head-quarter on Wednesday morning, Singh assured of taking up the matter of giving extra ordinary salaries to family of police martyrs as per the 7th pay commission recommendation by getting the necessary orders passed by the government. He directed to make timely payment of travel bills and medical allowances to the retired personnel. Singh also claimed that the UP Police Pensioners Welfare Association should also have one person as their consultant to give suggestion that how more welfare measures could be made for the retired personnel as well as how their services could be taken in maintaining law and order. 

Earlier welcoming OP Singh in the UP Police Pensioners Welfare Association meeting, held every year during Police Week, president, Ishwar Chandra Dwivedi said that despite of their best efforts, the government so far not issued any order regarding giving 

Extraordinary salary as per the recommendation of 7th pay commission to the family members of the police martyrs. He also raised delay made in clearing their dues particularly the travel allowance, which incurred in appearing in cases to dispose of their statements regarding investigation made by them during their service period.
