Ola has partnered Acko General Insurance to launch an in-trip insurance program for its customers across more than 110 cities in India.Ola said users booking a ride can opt for an in-trip insurance cover while booking the ride at a premium of Rs 1 for all intra-city travel including cabs, autos, kali-peelis, and e-rickshaw. Ola Rental rides will attract a Rs 10 premium and Ola Outstation rides will have Rs 15 premium.
“Ola customers can avail an insurance policy of Rs 5 lakh for just Re 1, which will also provide cover for missed flights, loss of baggage, loss of a laptop, emergency hotel requirements, and many more.” said Vishal Kaul, Chief Operating Officer at Ola.
The company said claims can be made either through the Ola app or Acko’s website, mobile app and, call center.
