OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) - Ottawa Senators forward Marian Gaborik had surgery Thursday to repair a herniated disk in his back.
The 36-year-old Slovak had 11 goals and 10 assists in 46 games this season for Los Angeles and Ottawa. He last played March 22.
The Senators said Dr. Robert Watkins performed the surgery at the Marina Spine Center in California.
Gaborik has 407 goals and 408 assists in 1,035 career NHL regular-season games. He was traded to Ottawa on Feb. 14 with Nick Shore for Dion Phaneuf and Nate Thompson.
