Upbeat Manipuris want DSP post for 'golden' lifter Chanu

Overjoyed with the spectacular achievement of weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, who won the first gold for at the 21st edition of the on Thursday, the people of want a of Police (DSP) post for her so she could stay in the state.

Chanu, who set a new Games record with her power-packed performance in the women's 48 kilogram category in Australia's Gold Coast, is from Poirou Khongjin in district and is currently employed in the Indian Railways.
