Soccer-Five memorable Manchester derbies
April 5 (Reuters) - Manchester United and Manchester City will meet for 176th time at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. We look back at some notable clashes:
Man United 0 Man City 1 (League Division One, April 1974)
Former Manchester United great Denis Law scored the 82nd-minute decider with an instinctive backheel but he remained motionless in front of the Old Trafford faithful, thinking he had condemned United to relegation from the top flight.
The 1-0 result stood despite a pitch invasion in the final five minutes but as it turned out United would have suffered the drop anyway after Birmingham City beat Norwich City in their final game of the campaign.
Law, christened the 'King of Old Trafford' after scoring 237 goals in 11 years at United, was draped in a United scarf by a fan soon after scoring and never played another competitive game for City.

City equalised three times but were left brooding over referee Martin Atkinson's decision to let play run beyond four minutes of stoppage time, which allowed United's Michael Owen to clinch a late winner at Old Trafford.
Wayne Rooney scored inside two minutes to give United the lead before Gareth Barry levelled for the visitors. Darren Fletcher headed home but the visitors came back through Craig Bellamy to make it 2-2.
Bellamy cancelled out another Fletcher goal before United's free transfer Owen slotted home six minutes into stoppage time.
Hughes was sacked after City finished a disappointing fifth in the league while Alex Ferguson's United came second behind champions Chelsea.
Man United 1 Man City 6 (Premier League Oct. 2011)
Roberto Mancini's City inflicted United's worst home defeat since 1955 as they dismantled the defending champions to go five points clear at the top of the league table.
Mario Balotelli, who had been in the headlines for accidentally setting his house ablaze with fireworks, scored either side of the interval to put City in control after United defender Jonny Evans was sent off.
Sergio Aguero added the third for the visitors at Old Trafford and even though Darren Fletcher pulled one goal back for United, a late surge for City brought three more goals.
The result reflected the progress City had made in recent years and they finished the season by lifting the top division title for the first time in 44 years.

David Moyes suffered a humiliating defeat in his first Manchester derby as a brace from striker Sergio Aguero and goals from midfielders Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri helped City thrash champions United 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
United paid for their poor defending as Aguero volleyed in City's opener after 16 minutes. Toure turned the ball in from Nasri's corner in first half added time to make it 2-0.
Aguero found himself unmarked inside the box to tap in City's third two minutes after the break. Nasri added a fourth with a volley after a piercing run and cross from midfielder Jesus Navas on the right.
United striker Wayne Rooney pulled one back late in the game with a curling free kick. City were crowned champions that season while United finished seventh in the table.

The ill-tempered derby late in the season is remembered more for United skipper Roy Keane's knee-high tackle on City defender Alf-Inge Haaland than the visitors' equaliser through Steve Howey or striker Teddy Sheringham's opening goal.
Keane, accused by Haaland of feigning injury while the Norwegian played for Leeds in 1997, responded with a crunching tackle that earned him a red card and a three-game ban.
The Irishman later said in his autobiography that his wild lunge was pre-meditated, adding that he had "waited long enough."
