SURAT: A 35-year-old businessman ended life in a public garden on
Varachha Road by consuming poisonous material after his 30-year-old wife hanged self at their home on Wednesday. The couple had developed disputes since last few months after which both took the extreme step.
Body of Kamlesh Gajera was found from
Maharana Pratap Garden at Chowpaty on Varachha Road on Wednesday night. Police investigation revealed that he consumed some poisonous material to kill self. During checking by police he was identified as Kamlesh a resident of
Santoshi Krupa Society in Punagam. Registering a case of accidental death in Kapodra police station police started investigation. Gajera’s body was spotted at around 9.45 pm by those present in the garden.
Earlier on Wednesday, Gajera’s wife Bhanu alias Bhavisha, was found hanging at their residence in Santoshi Krupa Society in Punagam. She was spotted hanging at around 4.15 pm after which her family members rushed her to a hospital where she was declared dead. She used a dupatta to hang self with ceiling fan. Registering a case of accidental death in Puna police station police started investigation.
Gajera and Bhanu got married around eight years ago and lived in a joint family.
