New Delhi: The government's head-hunter Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Akshay Kumar Singh for the post of Director (Pipelines) at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the country's largest fuel retailer.Singh is currently serving as Executive Director (ED) at gas utility GAIL (India). If approved, he will replace Anish Aggarwal who superannuated from IOC on 31 March this year.
Singh is a Mechanical Engineer from MIT-Muzzafarpur and also holds a degree in Turbo Machinery from South Gujarat University.
According to PESB, 10 candidates had appeared for the selection process including six Executive Directors from IOC -- DNL Sastri, A K Tewari, Alok Khanna, PC Choubey, S K Jain and V C Sati -- apart from M V Iyer, ED at GAIL, S Gupta, ED at Power Grid Corp and Saravanan U, Director-Technical at Madras Fertilizers Ltd.
