Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, -0.37% confirmed Thursday it is issuing $2.5 billion in bonds to help finance the cash portion of its acquisition of Mulesoft Inc. MULE, +0.07% Before the close of markets Thursday, Salesforce announced the bond issue following reports earlier in the session. The offering consists of $1 billion in 3.25% bonds due in 2023, and $1.5 billion in 3.7% notes due in 2028. Salesforce agreed to acquire Mulesoft for $6.5 billion in late March. Shares of Salesforce rose 0.4% after hours, following a 0.4% decline to close at $119.04 during the regular session.
