The former Georgia Tech and Auburn assistant spent last season in that role at South Florida, where he played in the 1990s.

Dollar brings deep Atlanta roots to the Georgia staff. His father, Don, won more than 650 games and three state titles as a high school coach, primarily at Frederick Douglass High in Atlanta.

Chad Dollar coached at Georgia Tech from 2011-16, including the last two seasons as associate head coach. He also has worked on the staffs at Louisiana State, Wichita State, Arkansas State, Murray State, Georgia Southern, Eastern Kentucky, Western Carolina, Southern Miss and Gardner-Webb.

Dollar’s younger brother Cameron played on UCLA’s 1995 NCAA championship team. He’s an assistant at Washington.
