Today's odd spot is fitting, given the time of year:
A Brazilian man was arrested after trying to save Jesus from being crucified duyring a Passion of Christ play in the town of Nova Hartz. The man leapt onstage and hit an actor playing a Roman soldier on the head with a motorcycle helmet.
On this day
On this day in 1970, The Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles arrived in Melbourne for a Royal Visit. They had previously been in Hobart for what The Age described as “the most boring day of their tour so far” (more about why it was so boring at 8.30am).
During their weekend in Melbourne, The Queen and her entourage watched a football match at the MCG. They were welcomed into the ground by 38,000 fans who “roared a full-throated welcome as the Royal Family drove around the ground in two open Land Rovers”.

Single-use plastic bags will be phased out in three Victorian Woolworths stores following the Easter break.
The supermarket giant confirmed that its Wyndham Vale, Taylors Lakes and Toorak stores will no longer offer plastic bags to customers from this morning.
The move is one of Woolworths' first steps in a national ban across its entire store network, which will stop some 3.2 billion single-use bags going into circulation each year.

Can you rearrange them into the target word? I haven't been able to solve this one, but will dash downstairs to get a coffee now and that might provide the inspiration.
Let me know if you've figured it out. First with the answer gets the bragging rights.
