Wrexham ’s unbeaten run ended at 16 games after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Boreham Wood on Easter Monday.
This came after a frustrating 1-1 draw at Bromley which meant it was a disappointing few days for Dragons supporters.
Here Post sport writer Daniel Bissett hears from Wrexham AFC fan John Child following the Easter games.
Two games in quick succession and only a single point gained was not the return most Wrexham fans would have been expecting.
I cannot help but feel a sense of frustration, as the momentum built up over the course of the season, appears to have somewhat stalled over recent weeks with the loss of Dean Keates .
Victory should really have been gained from Friday’s game at Bromley, but not for the first time this season, a lack of a killer instinct in the final third was to prove Wrexham’s undoing, against a home side limited to 10 men for over half the match.

However, of perhaps more concern was the deserved and potentially damaging home defeat to fellow play off rivals Boreham Wood, where Wrexham’s limitations were brutally exposed.
You cannot blame the referee solely for this result, despite his decisions having a major impact on the game, as Wrexham were simply overpowered and their weak midfield, limited width and no plan B to change the course of the game were all too evident.
I cannot understand what Akil Wright has to do to get into the side as his energy and presence were sorely missed against a visiting side who dominated the loose ball.
One defeat is not the end of world though, as it could be argued Wrexham have overachieved this season, but with two tough away games to come and several of their rivals having games in hand, Wrexham will need to start picking up three points sooner rather than later, as otherwise it could all too quickly become a nervy end to the season.
