Man tests positive for swine flu

Vadodara: A 42-year-old man suffering from swine flu was admitted to a private hospital in the city on Tuesday. This is the second case of the flu to be reported in the city this year.

Sources in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) health department said that the patient was from the Harni area of the city. They added that he was admitted to a hospital in Karelibaug that had sent samples to test the patient for swine flu. His condition is reported to be stable.


Officials said that the only other case of swine flu in the city had come to light in January this year. They added that the patient had recovered well.


The city had witnessed the largest number of swine flu cases last year.
