Greetings from the animal shelter. Good news, Thomas the teenager found a lovely young adult to meet his match. Jump high, dear Thomas.

Joining Holly in our cat room is Ms. Nesta. She’s a terrific tuxedo who would love to make it into your home. Colly, the neutered male Russian Blue, is looking for you. And our newest girl, Zoe, is a spayed female, tabby and white and super spirited.

Mel the rabbit is still hopping and hoping for you. He’s a large white neutered male who is only a year old. His brindle ears are very cute with one straight up and the other flopping down He is very friendly and enjoys attention. He’ll sit on your lap and allow you to pet or brush him for as long as you like. He talks with cute little grunts. Stop in and meet him and see if he’ll eat his carrot or lettuce for you. Who knows, love may blossom with this sweet rabbit, he’s a keeper.

Here are some upcoming dates to remember. There is a nail clinic from 10 a.m. until noon on April 21. Suggested donation is $15. There will also be a rabies clinic on April 7. Hours at the Shelter will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and in West Tisbury from 10 a.m. until noon. Suggested donation is $25.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s spay/neuter wagon will be visiting the shelter on Wednesday, April 11, but has reached capacity for this visit. They will be here again in May so please contact your local animal control officer for more information if you have a pet you would like to have spayed or neutered.

And lastly, if anyone needs any crates or dog food, please stop in to pick some up. We have an abundance of both and are happy to share.
