As many as 21,065 farmers against a target of 20,000 beneficiaries have availed Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) in Haryana.
This was informed in the 27th meeting of State level executive committee of Haryana State Horticulture Development Agency held under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Abhilaksh Likhi here.
While reviewing component-wise progress of schemes and utilization of funds, Likhi appreciated the efforts of State Horticulture Mission.
The committee has approved total 17 projects proposals of mushroom cultivation, banana ripening chamber, roof top solar, cold storages, retails outlets, planting infrastructure
development, Integrated Post Harvest Management with the subsidy of Rs 8.68 crore under MIDH.
The objective of setting up these projects was to promote horticulture by doubling farmer income in the state with focus on post harvest management, marketing infrastructure development and mushroom cultivation, he said.
