Delhi govt to rope pvt players for free dance, arts classes in its schools

The government has decided to rope in private players to provide free of cost training to students of its schools in music, dance, theatre, fine arts and craft activities.

Under the scheme, private academies, individuals or NGOs will have to provide free of cost training to students of the schools of the (DoE).

"They can also impart training to private students on chargeable basis but the ratio should be maintained at 50:50. The quality of training for government school students will have to be at par with the non-government school students," a senior DoE said.

"Under this scheme, only available in schools will be provided to the selected private players and on the condition that there will not be any defacement, damage or alteration in the property of the school. Otherwise they will have to pay recoveries for the losses," the added.

The individuals, private academies or NGOs will only be able to use the school allotted for training purpose or in-house competitions and it will not be allowed to be used for other purpose such as competitions, cultural functions etc. under any circumstances.
