‘Accord priority to passenger safety’

SCR GM Reviews works related to track renewal

South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Tuesday held elaborate discussions on safety aspects and focussed on works related to elimination of level crossings and track renewal to prevent untoward incidents.

He held a detailed review of punctuality status of the zone and suggested measures to improve punctuality and mobility. The six Divisional Railway Managers briefed on the progress of works related to elimination of unmanned level crossings (UMLCs) on the zone targeted for the current financial year 2017-18.

The GM emphasised on the need to accord high priority to the safety to ensure passenger satisfaction by evolving effective mechanism by sharing news ideas and system improvements.

He complimented officials and staff for their committed services rendered towards best performance during 2017-18 financial year along with providing safe and comfortable journey for the rail commuters.

Enhanced targets

He advised the officials to plan in advance to reach the enhanced targets during the current financial year 2018-19. He also appreciated officials for launching several new innovations, which have become models for entire Indian Railways.

He conducted a performance review meeting on achievements of the targets in passenger earnings and freight loading sectors with Divisional Railway Managers through video conference.
