If seizures are any indicator of the popularity of various illicit drugs, Ganja is the most popular among drug addicts. According to the latest Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) report, over 3.6 lakh kg of narcotics was seized in 2017. Ganja not only retains the top place but its use has also grown. Heroin isn't as popular but its use is increasing rapidly.
