Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Tuesday said that tablet workshop and smart classes would be started for students in Government school of the State so as to acquaint them with latest technologies.
To begin with, a pilot project would be started in 30 schools of Gurugram and Rewari districts from the next academic session, he said.
Sharma said that the State Government is making persistent efforts to enhance learning level of students studying in government schools of Haryana.
He said that ‘Hero Group of Companies’ would bear the entire expenditure of this project under the Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The School Education Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Company in this regard.
The Education Minister further said that the State Government is committed to bring grade level qualification in students of 80 per cent government schools under the Saksham Haryana scheme.
To ensure this, this project has been started for bringing about a change in the education system he said adding that the tablet workshop and smart classes would not only help in improving the communication skills of students but also help them to have good command over English language.
The career consultation for students of higher and senior secondary schools would also be started through this project. The teachers would be imparted special training for this project and the same would be reviewed from time to time, he added.
