RATNANAGAR: Property worth around Rs 1.8 million were destroyed in a fire that broke out at a paper factory in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-5 of Chitwan district on Wednesday morning.

According to District Police Office, Chitwan, the fire that started at 3:25 am today in the Narayani Paper Industry belonging to Hemraj Khanal turned the papers, raw materials and other property housed inside into cinder. However, no human casualties were reported in the incident.

Police with the help of locals and fire engines doused the fire at 5:00 am.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
